The primary motivation for ministry should be to serve God and spread the Gospel message, not to accumulate wealth or achieve personal gain.
Ministry is not About Money, the main purpose for doing Ministry is to win the souls . Those that are doing the Ministry because of money are doing a big uncorrected mistakes.
While ministry work does require funds to operate and provide for ministers' needs, the core purpose of ministry is to serve and impact lives, with financial support being a natural consequence of genuine spiritual impact, rather than the primary goal.
The primary focus should never be on generating money for the kingdom or for personal gain. Using ministry as a quick way to make money or a business is a harmful approach.
Ministers should ensure their intentions are pure and focused on serving God and His kingdom, rather than on financial gain.
For instance, if I get invitation to minister in a church , the first thing that comes to my mind is " Lord Jesus , should I go ?"
The first question should never be
"How much will they pay me " ?
Ministry is not a job!
If you want to make money, get serious with your Career , don't use ministry to make money.
The Bible teaches that one cannot serve both God and money (mammon). Prioritizing financial gain above God's will compromises one's dedication to ministry.
Anytime you go for Ministration simply because of the money or your goal is on the honorarium, then you're no longer working for God , you are into business.
While it is Biblical for churches to honour their invited ministers like preachers , song ministers and so on, the honorarium is not necessarily in cash !
Sometimes , when you're given honorarium, the Spirit of God will tell you not to take it. This is what I have experienced several times in ministry. You went there for Jesus not for your pocket.
If our focus is always on cash, money , how much given, then we are not there for Jesus but for our survival not Revival .
Anytime a Preacher or minister complain about how small the honorarium they gave him or her is , then such person see ministry as a means to survive not as a servant of God.
If God truly call you into ministry, you shouldnt put the burden of your responsibility on honorarium or members but on God in prayer and fellowship with God .
God is the sponsorer of those He called into ministry. They don't need to complain, lament or negotiate about how much a church will give them or how much honorarium they receive .
God give us understanding in Jesus name
