In the Cherubim & Seraphim church, white garments are significant because the color symbolizes being pure and clean. when we wear white garment we are saying that God has covered us with His robe of righteousness which is always White robe. 

 

Any time God is mentioned in Scripture, His  appearance is always in White Garment . 

Here is a Bible reference:

As I looked, “thrones were set in place, and the Ancient of Days took his seat. His clothing was as white as snow; the hair of his head was white like wool. His throne was flaming with fire, and its wheels were all ablaze.” Daniel 7:9

 

Not just God that wear white garment , even Angels are always seen to wear white garment

 . Remember as Mary went to the tomb of Jesus , she met two angels wearing white garment: 11)”Now Mary stood outside the tomb crying. As she wept, she bent over to look into the tomb 12)and saw two angels in white, seated where Jesus’ body had been, one at the head and the other at the foot.” Mathew 20: 11-12  so if God and angels can wear white garment , so we can wear it too. 

 

Even when Jesus was transfigured on mount of transfguration in glory, His cloth was changed to white garment 

1)After six days Jesus took with him Peter, James and John the brother of James, and led them up a high mountain by themselves. 2)There he was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and his clothes became as white as the light.” Mathew 17:1-2 

 

Did you know that even At the resurrection of Jesus Christ , He was seen wearing white garment ? yes he wore white garment 

There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. 3)His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow.” Mathew 28: 2-3

 

The 24 Elders in heaven also are wearing white garment . how did I know ?

Surrounding the throne were twenty-four other thrones, and seated on them were twenty-four elders. They were dressed in white and had crowns of gold on their heads.  Revelation 4:4

 

Lastly, when we die , we will be covered with white cloth not any other colour. regardless if which denomination you attend or which religion you attend , you will be covered in white . 

 

This white garment is the cloth we will all wear in heaven . How did I know ?

After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands.”  Revelation 7:9 

 

Wow, you see that in C & S and other white garment churches we have a beautiful inheritance. 

 

Now, don't let your white become brown before you change it. if you have two or three white garment , change it in 3 months .don't say , this cloth is for vigil , this one is for Sunday. Any white garment you can't wear on Sunday, don't wear it again. let your white be shinning , well ironed and very clean . 

 

Don't wear white garment that is transparent, that will show the shape of your underwear , especially ladies . wear a white garment that won't reveal or show shape of your inner wears. And men too, always wear white trouser under your white garment . don't wear a white garment and another color green trouser showing under your garment , it doesn't fit into our C & S church. 

 

ALSO NOTE: Wearing White garment is not a ticket to the kingdom of God . Let your life be as white , righteous and pure as your garment.

Never think other denomination who don't wear white garment are lost or not spiritual.

 

What makes us Spiritual is not white garment but the presence of Holy Spirit which also dwell in other Christians who are not member of our fold. 

 

You can pray in any cloth and your prayers will be answered . Don't think until you pray in white garment before God can hear you. Sleeping with white garment doesn't protect you from demonic attack but your faith and standing in Christ Jesus . Make sure Christ is in you and dwells in you, don't depend on white garment to protect you.
