When you buy Gospel music nowadays and expect to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ but most of the things you hear is melodious Ayah and Keu that no one understand. Yet many people are dancing and clapping to ignorance!
In the beginning, it was not so! we have raised men and women that doesn't understand the path of our fathers. How many of you still listen to "Ayo ni o" Album? By Baba Fakeye and crew, so many years ago... Those songs are ever green. when we still sing them today , people fall in trance and speak from the spirit of God because they receive those songs from the realm of the Spirit! You won't hear any Keu, Ayah , Ifedefo at all... Listen to those tracks now" Won korin mimo, mimo o mimo"
"Gestimani, gestimani..." yet they sang those song with understandable language!
What happen to us in this generation? Every new Gospel artist in C & S now must sing Ayah or sing Keu, who told you that is the way to sing Gospel? many people feel if they don't sing that keu, they won't be regarded as spiritual. some will even go far to put charm on their tongue so the Ayah or keu will be melodous to hear .
The Corinthians church were christians that put more energy in singing Aya, Keu because it boost their ego. it makes people think they're Spiritual men. and many of us too we judge people as Spiritual because we saw them sing Keu or Ayah that we don't understand but because when they say it , people shake and you think that's evidence they are Spiritual? we are just ignorant!
