Some elders fight over who will give ASE (authority) over prayer. You will hear , I am the most senior , so I must be the one to do Ase . Some also fight over who to say the closing grace. 

When elderly people start fighting over something very irrelevant to Jesus Christ and his kingdom , it shows alot is wrong with such system. When we see our title as one thing that makes us superior than others and we want them to know we are the most senior , you had missed it a long time ago.

A brother  shared his experience that the former church he was going to, anytime the church leader travel to Ilorin, they will have to call him on phone to do ASE on prayer and do Grace. If they don't do so, he will be angry at them.

Another one shared his story how he was working in a church , the church leader was in Somolu, church at ikorodu, but when they do 3 person prayer , they will need to call church leader to do ASE and share GRACE.

One day, he stood up and do ASE and share grace , the leader was very angry that he wants to take over the church from him. 

If we still have this kind of ancient thinking, we won't move forward o. Wake up. Wake up.
Any body can do ASE 
Even a small girl in choir can do ORE OFE.
A woman can share GRACE and closing prayer .

All these things aren't doctrine 
They're tradition and can be changed .

If you want your church to have a future 
Don't be the only one doing ASE all time 
Don't be the only one preaching all time 
Don't be the only one doing ORE OFE 

Share these work around 
You will soon die and work of God will continue
Don't be like a pharaoh or Pharisee inside altar.
Let love and peace rule the church .

And one day, maybe one day
We will outgrow the need to put ASE on our prayer so we can eradicate all these entitled position in church leadership.
