Everyone will Finish one day but not everyone will finish well. Some started well but didn't finish well.

Saul was the first king in Israel, he was tall and handsome , He started well but he didn't finish well.

What about Salomon? He offered thousands of cow  to offer to God in a day and God himself visit Solomon and gave him a blank check but Solomon became wealthy and forget God.  He was too focused on women and girls from every nation. He started well but didn't finish well. 

King Asa also started well with God 
In the book of 2 Chronicles 15:9, 19
He trusted in God and the Lord gave him rest from battle for 35 years of His reign . It was peaceful. 
Close to the end of His reign, he put His trust in man not in God and He was warned but He didn't listen  He died in sickness and reigned for 40years. He started well but didn't finish well.

We also have stories of men who started well and finished well, Jesus Christ our Lord started well and finished well. On the cross  , He could have curse those who nail him and call them angels but He FORGAVE them and prayed for God to forgive His enemies . He shouted "IT IS FINISHED" not "I AM FINISHED" . He finished the work God gave him to do . He finished His assignment well.

What about Saul ? He didn't start well with God but He had encounter on His way to Damascus (Act 9) , He preached the gospel of Jesus Christ and in His second letter to Timothy, He said I have fought the good fight of faith , I have finished the race. He finished well. 

Lastly, do you remember the thief nailed with Jesus on the cross? He didn't start well, He had committed so many crimes but He finished well. He seek and cried out for mercy and ask Jesus to remember him in His kingdom .

Will you also cry out today and tell God to have mercy on you . Tell God to give you grace to finish well . Grace not just to finish this year well but to finish my race well. 

Oh ministers pray o, tell God , keep me focus on heaven. May I not be distracted by the things of these world . May I not be busy doing what have no reward in heaven . May I not be DECEIVED by awards of men and applause of men in these last days . Help me to hear from you, welcome godd and faithful servant , enter into the joy of your father .
