BE READY TO GIVE ACCOUNT OF YOUR STEWARDSHIP TO ALMIGHTY GOD

Article Image

Each of us shall give an account of himself to God (Romans 14:12) For God will bring every deed into judgment, with every secret thing, whether good or evil (Ecclesiastes 12:14).

One of our C & S Hymn says

"KA S'OTITO NINU ILANA WA

KA SA IPA WA GBOGBO

BI OKAN WA KO BA DA WA LEBI

A O NI SINMI OGO..."

Every Gifts, position or possession you have today , God owns it all, you're just a steward or a manager. You're here to manage it and one day God will call you to give account of your work.

A steward never has ownership rights.

A steward is Someone who manages the property, finances or household of another.

In other words, the core issue behind this definition is that a steward is not the owner of something, but the manager of something, and that person then is accountable to the owner for how they do.

So, that means that home is not really ours. Our job is not really ours. Our money isn't ours and even our very selves don't belong to us.

Psalm 24:1-2 says The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. 2 For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.

God owns it all. We are not the owner!

Your money, house , car , church , family... All belongs to God . You don't own it , you're called to manage it .

FOUR FACTORS ABOUT STEWARDSHIP

The Ownership Factor

The Responsibility Factor

The Accountability Factor

The Reward Factor .

God is The owner of all things and He gave us Responsibility to manage what He owns. Our Responsibility is to do His will not our will.

DONT HOLD PROGRAM GOD DIDNT SEND YOU

people are busy doing the work God didn't send them. If God didn't send you to do a work, He won't give you reward for the work.

It will be a waste. The best prayer to always pray is LORD LET THY WILL BE DONE !

NOW ACCOUNTABILITY

Any of us can be called for Accountability at any time ! It maybe tonight or next week or tomorrow. God can call any of us now to come and give account of our work to Him!

Luke 16:1-2  “There was a rich man whose manager was accused of wasting his possessions. So he called him in and asked him, 'What is this I hear about you? Give an account of your management, because you cannot be manager any longer.

The Rich man is God and we are the Manager. He can call us at any time to give account of our management. I mean anytime . So we must be ready! To be found faithful.

A good steward is someone then who lives in a way that pleases God, in the way they use their time, in the way they use their talents and the way they use their treasure. It's the whole of life.

Luke 16:10-12

Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much. 11 So if you have not been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, who will trust you with true riches? 12 And if you have not been trustworthy with someone else’s property, who will give you property of your own?

What God looks for is Trustworthy Managers

Faithful Servants . He's not after you doing big or loud programs. Hes not after you building big church or how many followers you have but how faithful are you to the Assignment He sent you?

Are you trustworthy with finance ?

Are you trustworthy with women?

Are you trustworthy with gifts ?

Will you use your gifts and talents for His glory and not for fame and money?

These are things that matters!

Lastly THE REWARD.

You won't receive any reward if your work burnt off. No reward for you. Many people do work of God but the work will burn because they are doing the work with bad motive .

One day, they wanted to praise Paul for His work but He stopped them .

1 Corinthians 4:2-5

2 Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful. 3 I care very little if I am judged by you or by any human court; indeed, I do not even judge myself. 4 My conscience is clear, but that does not make me innocent. It is the Lord who judges me. 5 Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait until the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of the heart. At that time each will receive their praise from God.

Paul said Judge Nothing before the Appointed Time ; wait until the Lord comes. He will expose secrets of men.

It's easy to Be given Award for best Apostle

Preacher of the year but those who give you those award don't know how you secretly sleep with church members . They only gave you award because of what they can see.

God sees beyond what men see

God sees your secret place , your secret sins

He will judge you and expose all hidden agenda , hidden motive on the judgement day.

Many Celebrate Anniversary to make money

They have target of how much they must make in one Anniversary. That's no longer Anniversary, it's a transaction business. Anniversary is never for making money but for spending money . Money should not be target in Anniversary, our focus should be on God .

Now some people work will be burnt

Jesus eyes is fire (Revelation 1:14) The eyes of Jesus are blazing with fire . He will look into our works with His fire eyes to judge it.

If your work is burnt, no reward for you.

1 Corinthians 3:12-15

12 If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, 13 their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work. 14 If what has been built survives, the builder will receive a reward. 15 If it is burned up, the builder will suffer loss but yet will be saved—even though only as one escaping through the flames.

Our SERAPH hymn says

SERAFU AYE TUN WA SE

KERUBU AYE TUN WA SE

ENI TI SE RE JONA ....

A day of accountability is on the way. We will give account one by one like this estate manager who was given an estate to manage for the master.

Beloved in the Lord, if you are still alive then be a good steward of the wealth God has placed into your hands and give a good account of your stewardship.

To give a good account of our wealth as stewards, Paul admonishes us through his letter to Timothy to “Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. In this way, they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life.” (1 Timothy 6:17-19).

I pray God keep us pure and blameless till he comes back . Amen .
