This morning, I was preaching on restoration of the lost glory. I ask what is glory?

What many people call glory is fame, wealth, followers etc. that's not God's glory. The glory is the presence of God.

Adam and Eve lost the glory of God because of sin. It was not money or wealth they lost, it was the presence of God .

Children of Israel also lost the glory of God because of sin. In the book of 1 Samuel 4, they took the ark of God thinking the presence of the ark will give them victory.

I see many churches, they will call a popular pastor or a trending pastor to minister in their program , they think the presence of God is by inviting famous or wealthy preacher . 

The ark was taken away by Philistines, two sons of Eli were killed and many children of Israel. Why? It was sin of idolatry, disobedience and the priests(two sons of Eli called sons of Belial) are corrupt! They sleep with sisters in the temple.

In 1 Samuel 4:21- She named the boy Ichabod, saying, “The Glory has departed from Israel"—because of the capture of the ark of God and the deaths of her father-in-law and her husband. 

The glory departed ! That glory is not car, money, houses, wealth, fame but the presence of God.

Jesus came to restore that glory to man. In John 17:22, Jesus said the glory you gave me I have given them.

In psalm 3:3, it says God is my glory. Your glory is not money, children or fame but God. 

To have restoration of glory, you must repent and believe in Jesus Christ. Don't waste time by looking for a popular man of God. You will be like children of Israel who carry ark of covenant to war front by corrupt priests. 

You can be the one to carry the presence of God anywhere when you repent and believe in Jesus Christ who died for you, buried and redirected the third day.

Arise and shine now, for your light is come and the glory of God will be revealed in you (Isaiah 60:1)

Arise , shine. Be born again. Walk in the light .let your light so shine that men may see your good works and glorify your father .
