WHAT ABOUT PRAYER MOUNTAIN?

A brother asked me this question yesterday in one of our church at Ibadan , he asked " is it compulsory for a Christian to always go to one or two mountains to pray?"

My response was "NO!" period.

There are so many bible references that people go to mountain to pray for instance, Moses and Jesus but no specific instruction for anyone to look for a mountain to pray.

Is it wrong for a church to have a prayer mountain? No! Nothing wrong.

As long as it's not a mountain for business transaction where many go to sell oil, perfume, fruits, rod, or even girdle .

Many of the mountain people go today are ceremonial mountain nothing special about it . Many go to mountain because they see others go to mountain. Many start prayer mountain because they see other ministers or church have a prayer mountain, it's simply a tradition to them not encounter .

Now let me be simple enough. Your room can be a mountain. You don't need to go to Ori oke Erimo or Agelu or olorunkole for God to answer your prayer . If no one will distract or disturb your special prayer in your house , stay at home , God will answer you . You don't ever need to go to a river side , beach or mountain for God to hear you. 

Can God ask you to meet him in one mountain ? Yes . Can God tell you to meet him in one beach ? Yes but don't make it a routine or yearly program because of your encounter .

Moses encounter God at Horeb but didn't take children of Israel there yearly for a special prayer . Neither did Jesus Christ do so.

A prophet or father in faith might encounter God in a bush or mountain, that doesn't mean God is restricted to answer our prayers there every year or month but many of us have tuned our father's encounter to place of idol(This is uncomfortable truth).

I didn't say don't go to mountain 

I didn't say don't go to your church yearly mountain program 

What I am saying is that, Know for sure God will answer your prayer anywhere! even in your house or on any mountain. So, you don't have to go to any mountain for God to hear you.
