IS IT BIBLICAL TO APPOINT COMMITTEE FOR PROGRAM?

A brother ask if it is right or biblical to appoint committee to plan for Anniversary, revival or program in church .

My response is Yes, it is right .

It is biblical .

Remember , when Moses father in law (Jethro) came to visit him. He counsel him to have leaders over thousands, leaders over hundreds, leaders over fifty's (Exodus 18:17-22)

These are committees that makes the kingdom labour easier to do.

Pastors or leaders can't do it alone , even our lord Jesus Christ have 12 disciples. The work of ministry is not only for the leader but also others to support .

Today, it's just a pity that the criteria we appoint people to committee is ungodly and not the way of Christ.

We appoint rich people as committee

Or appoint those who can help us get rich people . Money is the target not Christ.

This is why many leader will look for those who love to sponsor the work of ministry, they will appoint them as committee for anniversary so they can give beyond expectations.

Many times , the committee we appoint to plan out the program are people of the flesh. They plan for the program to look for millionaire, they are so concerned about the money they will make that day not about the presence of God .

So appointing committee is not wrong, but if it's driven by money , income , or fame , then it's not of God .
