(Seminar on HOLY SPIRIT part 2)

Pentecost doesn't mean power or Holy Spirit. Pentecost is simply a feast, Jewish feast not a Christian feast.

Pentecost is 50 days after Passover .

Israel have three major feast 

Passover (Unleavened Bread), Pentecost (Weeks), and Tabernacles (Ingathering). 

The Three Major Feasts:

Passover (Unleavened Bread): Held in spring, this festival commemorates the Exodus from Egypt and the angel of death "passing over" the homes of the Israelites.

Pentecost (Weeks): Celebrated 50 days after Passover, this feast marks the end of the barley harvest and the beginning of the wheat harvest, and traditionally commemorates the giving of the Law at Mount Sinai.

Tabernacles (Ingathering): Held in the fall, this seven-day festival commemorates the 40 years of wandering in the wilderness and God's provision during the harvest season.

In Act 2, The Holy Ghost came on the day of Pentecost. That is 50days after the Passover feast.

All these feast point to Jesus Christ our Lord . Jesus was crucified on the Passover day , rose up the third day and spend 40days with disciples . 

So the 120 disciples wait in the upper room for seven days and on the seventh day the Holy Spirit came on them.

In ACT 1:8 , Jesus told them to wait in Jerusalem till they receive the Holy Spirit that gives power so they can be witnesses for Jesus Christ.

Even , Mary the mother of Jesus Christ can not go anywhere until The Holy Spirit came .

As Christian, we need to wait to be empowered from above to be witness for Jesus Christ. 

In exodus, Moses make effort to run ministry without power from above . He ran away for 40years until God gave him power . 

Did you know that from age 12, Jesus had been full of scripture knowledge yet He never started ministry until He was empowered at age 30 after he had been baptized by John .

It is not Theology certificate or ordination certificate that can make you effective in ministry but the power from above .
