The book of Titus 1:5-9 , Paul instruct Titus to ORDAIN ELDERS in the city.

The criteria was given 

1. A man who is BLAMELESS 

2. A husband of one wife 

3. Able to raise Faithful children 

4. He must not be Lover of money

5. He must be hospitable 

6. A lover of good men .

7. He must be Pure and Holy 

This was excerpt from our bible study this evening on zoom 

Did you notice none of the Elders were appointed based on their Gifts or money .

Did you know none of them pay for ordination.

The Criteria for Their ordination was not based on their Gifts of tongues , gifts of Eloquence , or financial capacity .

Many Elders that are in our various churches today were ordained because they have money 

They were ordained to be be sponsors.

That's why we have church patron and Matron's 

Did you ask why you have Band Patron? 

Did you know the criteria was because of money? It was about who can sponsor the band .

In bible days it was not so at all.

If you marry more than one wife , you can't be ordained as Elder or Bishop .

It's not possible.

Today, you see many church leaders with three to four wives . Some have been ordained Baba Aladura .

The question is who ordained them ?

Did they read bible before they ORDAIN them?

We need to go back to our bible 

And know the standard of God for running His church .
