(Why We Celebrate The Founder's Day In C&S)

The Anniversary we celebrate in C&S churches are scriptural. One of it is "Ajodun IDASILE" This is actually the celebration of Passover feast .

 

Jews all around the world celebrate Passover to commemorate the deliverance of the Israelites from Egypt. On that night, God instructed the Israelites to put the blood of a lamb on their doorposts so that the Angel of Death would pass over their homes when He saw it, sparing their lives (Exod. 12:13).

 

The Passover is a picture of our Lord Jesus Christ, the true Lamb of God (1 Cor. 5:7b). The Israelites had a sacrificial lamb that could only cover their sins but not take them away completely; it was but a shadow of the substance. Today as believers, we celebrate the substance—the true Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world (John 1:29). Through His blood, we have redemption and the forgiveness of sins (Eph. 1:7).

 

The most important event that took place in history is the cross. There are 89 chapters in the four gospels. Out of the 89 chapters, there are only 4 chapters about Jesus' birth and the first 30 years of His life.

But 85 chapters are about His 3 and a half years of ministry on earth. 27 chapters are about the last days of His life on earth.

 

The world emphasizes Jesus' birth and they only see Him as a good person who existed, but the Holy Spirit emphasizes on Jesus' death and resurrection.

It’s truly the season for evangelism, as next Sunday is Resurrection Sunday. The Lord loves souls. Just before He returned to heaven after rising from the dead, His Great Commission to the 11 disciples was to “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.” (Mark 16:15)

 

FOUNDER'S ANNIVERSARY IS ABOUT JESUS 

Founder's Anniversary (Ajodun IDASILE) is actually pointing to Passover and also to Jesus the Lamb of God that is true Passover feast and true deliverer and saviour.

 

The Founder's Anniversary is not about Church Leaders , Not about Moses Orimolade, not about The prophet or pastor but about Jesus .

 

It is not a day for Making Money 

It is a Day for Praising God and eating in His presence after hearing the word of God .
